Skydiving

We were so terrified all morning. The guys were all cracking jokes and making fun but I think they understood we were really scared. My friend Rob told me after that at one point he looked over and I was just facing the wall looking like someone had just died. Yep that about sums up my feelings...

We didn't plan it but we showed up matching!
Going up in the plane terrified me even more and it got so much more real.
Josh my jumpmaster kept messing with me most of the ride up there mainly because he knew either way I was going to be freaking out.
I had such a strong hold on the door I was not read y to let go! I don't know if I will ever be ready for that initial jump out of an airplane, it is so terrifying!
I remember leaving the plane screaming my head off and as soon as we fell the force of falling 120mph stopped my screaming and tears pretty quickly. I had forgotten that they tell you to breath through your teeth because otherwise it is almost impossible to breath and they are right. It was also so cold at the altitude that my teeth were freezing. I am not going to lie I was also worried about my retainer falling out and losing my teeth! That would have been awful!
As we were free falling I think the one thing I forgot to do was look down. I think I was just looking straight out at the sky while falling. It wasn't until the parachute deployed that I looked down to the earth. My friend Rob says it is very scary though watching the ground come at you so fast as you are falling. So maybe it is a good thing I didn't look down.

So happy to be back on the ground. Most of my friends came over to me and just gave me a hug before asking me what I thought. I was glad to be alive and I think that it was very scary but there was so much adrenaline that it is almost hard not to enjoy it in the end. Although the stress it caused me all morning and through the jump was not entirely fun.
I guess the guys at Skydive Utah are trying to set a world record for spin and grabs in the air (TRW). All it really is, is that while free falling 2 people spin and grab hands or feet and see how many touched they can get. Well Josh and Josh were determined to break the record of six and while it may have made be a little dizzy, we did 8!

Bailey and Jake are the ones I went up in the plane with! They still laugh about my white knuckle grip on the door handle of the plane as they watched me jump out.

We hung out here to watch everyone in our group go. We could only go 3 at a time so there was some waiting periods. I was in the second group and watching the first 3 go might have scared me even more. I screamed every time I saw someone come out of the plane.
Hopefully those parachutes are packed right!

We sky dove Utah!
Landing was actually smoother than I thought! Although I landed on my jump masters lap so that probably helped.
I got my own log book so that when I go next time they know how many jumps I have! Haha not sure if that will be happening.

The whole darn group of crazies!

Erika's wedding

One if my best friends since I was 3 got married on May 25! I threw her a bridal shower the night before and it was a blast. Erin, Erika and I were roommates in college for 3 years and now here we are in her wedding!

I told them I wouldn't put this in Facebook but didn't say anything about my blog;)
Waiting outside the temple for the new happy couple to come out!

It was a lot of hard work but a very rewarding day! The sun was shining brightly and it was very warm. I got to see a lot of people I have not seen in years that I grew up with. I also got to spend the day with my best friend on her wedding day!

Congrats Logan and Erika!
