Chris Cagel Concert

If you know me at all then you know that I love Country Music and Christmas Music :) Well Chris Cagel came out Wilpen and put on an amazing show! I knew more songs of his than I thought. Nick would just start laughing when I would say, "Hey I know this one too!" and start singing :)

No one else I would have rather gone with than my big bro! We saw a lot of strange people but I am glad that he was their to make me feel safe.

Here is one of those interesting people. Let's just say he got escorted out before Chris Cagel even went on :) He sure was entertaining though to the rest of us for a long while.

We were just in the perfect spot for people watching. This gem of a lady is well known in Ligonier for her mad dancing skills. She sure was having a good time too. She even had a little dancing competition with a guy in his 20's....pretty sure she won!

"Dance Baby Dance" (one of my favorites)

I walk through my front door,
She’s right there like the day before
Saying “daddy, please, play with me”.
Right there in the living room
In a pony tail and the ballet shoes
I spin her round, she says out loud:
“I wish this song will last forever”.

Dance, baby, dance
I don’t ever wanna leave this moment.
Dance, baby, dance
‘cause right now I know I’m the only one.
Baby, dance, dance, baby, dance. Baby, dance.

And one day she’ll pack up to leave,
She’ll kiss her mom and then kiss me
And say “goodbye, dad, are you alright?”
I’ll just smile and tell her “yes”
And try to hide this big old mess
Inside my heart as she starts the car.
That’s why I wish this song would last forever.

Dance, baby, dance
I don’t ever wanna leave this moment.
Dance, baby, dance
‘cause right now I know I’m the only one.
Baby, dance, dance, baby, dance. Baby, dance.

And I know there’s gonna come a time
When she’ll be there all dressed in white
And I’ll take her hand for one last dance.

Dance, baby, dance
I don’t ever wanna leave this moment.
Dance, baby, dance
‘cause right now I know I’m the only one.
Baby, dance, I don’t ever wanna leave this moment.
Dance, baby, dance
‘cause right now I know I’m the only one.
Baby, dance, dance, baby, dance. Baby, dance.
Baby, dance.

Pirates Game

This was my one annual Pirates game! For the last couple of summers I make sure that I have gone to at least one game and this summer it was with Nick. I have only ever sat in the bleachers or outfield so I got online and found some better seats and bought the tickets on the first base line! it was the perfect spot to watch the game from. We ate our favorite Primantii Brothers sandwiches while watching an awesome game that went into extra innings. And hey what a year the Pirates are having! We had a winning season, the first in 20 years, and we made it to the playoffs! World Series here we come :)

My favorite part of the game is the pierogi  race!

Kevin was stuck up in Penn State so we had to go to the game without him but luckily for snapchat :)All 3 of us came to a game last summer together and it was a lot of fun!

If you have ever watched Pittsburgh Dad you know how amazing this shirt is, and Nick had it made for me for Christmas! It was so perfect for this game to as we ended with a win in extra innings!

I feel like I can't fully remember this game correctly if it wasn't for how we started the night. I had to drive downtown which I absolutely hate doing, but Nick said he knew where to go and he would lead me the right way and I wouldn't get lost or have to freak out. So we get into town just fine and I am feeling okay. We are trying to decide where to park when Nick all of a sudden seems to stop telling me where to go. Here he couldn't concentrate on anything because he had to pee so stinking bad. I told him to just get out while we were in traffic but he wouldn't. Then he was going to pee in a bottle but he said he would fill it up to fast. I was freaking out because we was freaking out about having to go to the bathroom and I didn't know where to park but he was going to explode. So finally I just found someplace and he got out and peed longer than I have ever head anyone pee in my entire life! Sorry Nick if this is embarrassing but I was laughing so hard because I kept thinking of him going in the bottle and then it just overflowing and it was not a pretty picture:) Oh the fun we have during our sibling time.

Homemade Black Raspberry Jelly

All that time I spent this summer picking berries paid off when I got to make my first batch of jelly! It was fun because I picked the berries then boiled and mashed them up, added A TON of sugar, and canned them! Mom of course helped but I feel successful for my first time canning. I brought some back to Utah with me and I eat it all the time :)

Big Mac Museum

Over the last couple years and a couple of cross country road trips, my mom and I have found how fun it is to stop at the weird places along the way. Well she decided that if we were driving and passed the Big Mac Museum, that we would probably stop. Well it just so happens that we only live about 30 minutes from it and it is by my grandma's house so it was something we definitely needed to stop and see. We went in and scoped out the timeline of the Big Mac and took some pictures. We talked about getting a Big Mac just because but decided against it and got 2 fruit smoothies instead!

Bruno Mars

For my birthday my wonderful friend Erica bought tickets to the Bruno Mars concert. It was so much fun spending some time alone with my girl and catching up on life since February!

If I said it was any less than spectacular and amazing I would be offending one of the teachers I work with because she saw him later in Vegas and was blown away by how amazing the concert was. But I will agree that it was pretty darn great! The light show and presentation of the whole thing was over the top awesome!

Flight 93 Memorial

On my list of things to do this summer was revisit the Flight 93 memorial. I have not been up there since right after 9/11 and they have started working on it as a national monument and I wanted to check it out.

In seventh grade we took a field trip to Washington DC and it was a ton of fun visiting all of the memorials and museums. But even as sad as it was visiting the Korean War, WW2 monument and all others, it is different then the Flight 93 because I was alive for it and remember so much from that day.
This is the flight path the plane took as it was going down and finally came to stop where the rock is. It really is a wonderful place to remember all that has happened.

I remember so much about that day that it seems weird to me. I was in 6th grade at the time in art class when the news was first turned on. We were supposed to be working on a shading project but I don't think we got much done that day. My teacher turned the news on and throughout all of my classes we watched all day. I remember coming home and my mom was vacuuming and I thought, "what the heck are you doing vacuuming when we are all going to die!?" I went straight to my room and packed a backpack full of clothes and then some canned soup and whatever I might need to survive. Here I was thinking we are in the middle of a danger zone with New York to the north and DC to the south, and flight 93 crashed so close!

Backroad Ridin'

This July was a GREAT month for our black raspberries! I would go out with dad everyday and pick at least a whole bowl! They are so amazing! One day after picking berries we took the gator for a ride up the mountain to check out the view. I think it is by far my favorite view in Ligonier. It is so beautiful every time I go up there.
